One of the most iconic city hotels in the world - a celebration of architecture, art, style and design.
It’s safe to say there’s nothing in Cape Town quite like The Silo Hotel. Set right on the V&A Waterfront, the 28-room hotel sits atop the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa and has been built into the frame of a colossal former grain silo – once the tallest building in sub-Saharan Africa. Vast glass windows gently balloon outwards, saturating the hotel in sparkling light and providing jaw-dropping views of the waterfront, Robben Island and Table Mountain. Interiors are in keeping with owner Liz Biden’s trademark exuberant style – vibrant silks and velvets, Egyptian-crystal chandeliers, European and Asian antiques, and bold works by local artists.
Dining ranges from lavish Sunday brunches and decadent afternoon teas to crafted cocktails in the sixth-floor Willaston Bar and sharing platters at the Silo Rooftop. There’s even a glass infinity pool waiting on the roof.
The Silo Hotel is located in the Silo District of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay are ten minutes away. Cape Town International Airport is approximately 25 minutes by road from the hotel.
