Set on the banks of the Sand River and shaded by enormous trees, Singita Ebony is the original Singita lodge and was inspired by the charm of old-world explorer camps.
Located in the heart of big cat country in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, the lodge brims with colonial charm, enhanced by campaign furniture from the Bailes’ family collection, polished wood and natural materials. Each of the 12 secluded, glass-fronted suites features an eclectic mix of colours, textures and fabrics, as well as Victorian bathtubs and expansive decks with private plunge pools.
The main lodge boasts a sumptuous lounge and dining area and an impressive collection of antiques and artefacts. Gourmet meals are served on the lodge deck or beneath the stars in the boma, accompanied by the finest South African wines. There's a spa and gym for in between game drives and activities include stargazing, wine tasting and guided walking safaris.
Singita is a privately owned reserve in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, adjacent to Kruger National Park. Federal Air operates daily return flights from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport to Singita’s airstrip, ten minutes from the lodge. You can also take scheduled flights to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Nelspruit) from Johannesburg, Durban or Cape Town, followed by a 1 hour 15 minute drive from the airport to the lodge. There is also the option of flying from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to Singita’s airstrip.
