Singita Boulders Lodge is set along the banks of the Sand River in a privately owned concession within the Sabi Sands Game Reserve.
Nearly 20 years ago Singita shook up the safari world by bringing slick design and smart service to the wilderness. Boulders Lodge stays true to the brand, offering 12 enormous freeform suites (including a pair of two-bedroom family suites) built of rock and fronted by walls of glass, with double-sided fireplaces, outdoor showers, sweeping private decks and heated plunge pools. Interiors are the pinnacle of contemporary African style, featuring earthy colours, textured fabrics, handmade furnishings and slabs of solid stone. Facilities include a pool in the main lodge area, a well-stocked wine cellar, gym, spa, lounge and a timber-deck dining area with a front-row seat to 45,000 acres of unspoiled wilderness teeming with wildlife, including all the Big Five.
Singita is a privately owned reserve in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, adjacent to Kruger National Park. Federal Air operates daily return flights from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport to Singita’s airstrip, ten minutes from the lodge. Alternatively, take a scheduled flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Nelspruit) from Johannesburg, Durban or Cape Town, followed by a 1 hour 15 minute drive from the airport to the lodge. There is also the option of flying from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to Singita’s airstrip.
