Ultra-luxe tents, superlative service and exceptional guiding in one of Africa's most pristine stretches of wilderness.
Rebuilt and refurbished in 2019, Selinda Camp sits on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, an ancient waterway linking the Okavango Delta and Linyanti wetlands. Highly exclusive, the camp offers just three spacious suites and a lavish two-bedroom villa. Suites have thatched roofs and feature four-poster beds, verandas with private pools and spacious bathrooms with deep copper baths. Thoughtful extras include watercolours for painting, binoculars, bird books, a yoga mat and minibar.
The open lounge and dining deck look out across the wetlands and are filled with spears, shields and dark-wood antiques. Mouth-watering meals are accompanied by wines from the well-stocked wine cellar, and the in-room spa treatments are just what's needed after a full day's exploring.
Highlights include sightings of the Selinda Lion Pride, made famous by the National Geographic film 'Birth of a Pride', created by camp owners, Dereck and Beverly Joubert.
Selinda Camp is located on the private 230,000-acre Selinda Reserve in northern Botswana. Light aircraft flights are available from Kasane and Maun to the Selinda Airstrip. The camp is a 40-minute drive/boat ride from the airstrip. Private charters can also be arranged.
