An exclusive and remote tented camp tucked away in the private Linyanti Concession along the famous Savute Channel.
For over a quarter of a century the Savute Channel remained dry, creating a vast open grassland, but in 2008 the waters returned, creating a magnet for wildlife. The six canvas-and-thatch tents of Savuti Camp are set on raised wooden decking facing the channel. There is also a family suite comprising two interconnected tents, each with its own private bathroom. The truly adventurous can even sleep beneath the stars at one of the camp's two Star Beds, set overlooking the Savute Channel about an hour from the main camp - a wonderfully romantic and enriching experience.
The main area of the camp consists of a thatched lounge and dining area, a swimming pool and a large viewing deck and firepit overlooking the channel. Activities include twice-daily game drives, guided walks and canoeing excursions (seasonal). Two hides provide fantastic opportunities to view wildlife up close.
Savuti Camp is located in the private Linyanti Concession, along the Savute Channel in northern Botswana. Access is via a scheduled flight from Johannesburg or Cape Town to Maun or from Johannesburg to Kasane, followed by a light aircraft flight to Chobe airstrip. The camp is approximately a 35-minute game drive from the airstrip.
