An impressive camp in the north-west corner of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, home to thriving numbers of lion, leopard and elephant, as well as highly endangered species such as black and white rhino and Grevy’s zebra.
Set amid sprawling plains, the camp features 11 spacious tents with full en-suite bathrooms, cosy log fires and tranquil verandas. There are also two family tents, each with a master bedroom and an en-suite twin room, joined together by a private veranda/sitting area with stunning views out over the Lewa plains. Enjoy some of the finest wildlife viewing in Kenya from the comfort of an open safari vehicle, making stops for bush breakfasts and evening sundowners. Set out on guided bush walks with the expertly trained rangers. Hike into the Ngare Ndare forest with a picnic. Gallop with giraffes on an evening horse ride. Spot game by camel with their Samburu handlers. Or relax back at camp with a swim in the pool, a deep-tissue massage or an evening by the fire, gin and tonic in hand and surrounded by nature.
Lewa Safari Camp is located in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. There are daily scheduled flights from Nairobi Wilson Airport to the Lewa Main Airstrip, located 40 minutes from the camp. Private charters are also available. The camp can also be accessed by road from Nairobi, which takes approximately five hours. However, Lewa Conservancy has very strict vehicle rules and only authorised vehicles are allowed within the conservancy. Visitors arriving by road have to be collected from the conservancy headquarters.
