The remote northern region of the Okavango Delta is the setting for this luxury tented camp, set among a matrix of palm-dotted islands, flood plains and woodland.
Deep within a 77,000-acre reserve in the Okavango Delta, this tiny gathering of five tented villas caters to those seeking privacy above all else. Each of the villas is equipped with its own plunge pool, private dining area, indoor and outdoor showers, luxurious bathtub and eco-friendly air-conditioning, along with smaller luxuries such as the complimentary use of Canon cameras and Swarovski binoculars for spotting the passing wildlife (lions and leopards in particular, but also lesser-known species such as aardwolves and pangolins). Nearby is the two-bedroom Duba Plains Suite, which comes with dedicated staff, a ranger and private vehicle. The main area consists of a large raised dining space, comfortable lounge, interactive kitchen, cellar and library. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and seasonal boating (depending on water levels) in boats custom-built for photography.
Duba Plains Camp is located in the northern regions of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Access is via a scheduled flight from Johannesburg or Cape Town to Maun or from Johannesburg to Kasane, followed by a light aircraft flight to Duba Plains airstrip, a five-minute drive from the camp.
