Known as 'the lodge on top of the hill', Bumi Hills' elevated position bordering Matusadona National Park affords unparalleled views over Lake Kariba. Accommodation comprises 10 beautifully appointed suites perched on the edge of a cliff, each with a sitting area, air-conditioning and a private terrace – the perfect place to watch the sun set over the lake. Taking centre stage in the guest area is a spectacular infinity pool overlooking Lake Kariba, while terraced dining areas, chill-out spots, a lounge, library and a spa offer a high degree of guest comfort.
The separate Baobab Villa, with its two capacious bedrooms, living room, bar and dining deck, is perfect for families and comes with a private butler, safari guide and a dedicated safari vehicle.
Activities include game viewing by boat or open safari vehicle, walking safaris, sunset cruises, cultural village visits, fishing and superb birding.
Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is situated in its own private concession on Lake Kariba, bordering Matusadona National Park. Kariba Town is approximately 55 kilometres south-west of the lodge. Bumi Hills has its own airstrip and the lodge is about 10 minutes’ drive from the airstrip. It is also possible to fly into the main airport at Kariba, from which it's approximately 1.5 to 2 hours' speedboat transfer to the lodge.
