A study in luxury, Bushmans Kloof blends effortlessly into the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains and is internationally recognised for its splendid accommodations, inspired cuisine and generous hospitality.
Bushmans Kloof is a family-owned lodge and wellness retreat in a 7,500-hectare private wilderness reserve in the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains. With unique access to more than 130 sites of ancient Bushman paintings, the retreat offers wonderful opportunities to explore ancient San culture in a malaria- and predator-free environment. Accommodation comprises 16 rooms and suites, all individually decorated with a hand-picked selection of art, antiques and heritage furniture, and all with private terraces that deliver sweeping wilderness views. Two additional private villas come with heated pools and private wilderness guides.
Meals are enjoyed in a variety of imaginative destinations, from a renovated old shepherd's hut in the middle of the reserve to a lantern-lit mountainside beneath a star-spangled sky. Facilities include four pools and a spa, while activities range from guided walks and game drives to mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and wild swimming.
Nestled in the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains on South Africa's dramatic west coast, Bushmans Kloof lies approximately 265 kilometres from Cape Town. Cape Town International Airport is a 3 hour 30 minute drive from the hotel.
